♣ Can I Have a Hall Pass?
Saturday, February 26, 2011 || 4:00 PM First and foremost, woot is now in Merriam-Webster's online dictionary and won word of the year. According to Merriam, woot is defined as, expressing joy and similar to 'yay'. I'm surprised woot hasn't made it into the print version, considering how common the word has become. ![]() Yesterday I saw Hall Pass! The basis of the film follows two average men, Owen Wilson and Jason Sudeikis, who get a Hall Pass-a week off from marriage. Their wives, Jenna Fischer and Christina Applegate, spend the week at Cap Cod, while the posse of Owen and Justin follow the guys around. Lots of wicked chaos ensues. I would recommend this film for anyone seventeen plus, if only because anyone younger wouldn't understand a lot of the jokes or may be uncomfortable seeing nudity in a theater. They would probably also complain about the film following middle aged adults. I admit, I had my doubts. I honestly thought the film would end up a near porno (note: Hot Tub Time Machine), but they did a fine job of stopping and extending the right moments to create a hilarious movie. There are some down parts, namely toward the end, that seem a bit too random, but overall, I enjoyed myself to the point of laughing to tears. Labels: Hall Pass, movie, Review |
make me immortal with a kiss This space is for your profile. Mmm, perhaps you can tell them how you have a BAD HAIR DAY every other day, how your best friend started to talk like a Valley Girl, how you wished art ought to be banned from school, or you'd wish to have a mom as cool as LADY GAGA. You'd go to school in a bubble dress, and strut down the hallways as the basketball hotties gawk at how awesome you look. Make your profile as lame, unrealistic, stupid as you want. You can even say you're friends with a fat, immature man who lives on the rooftop of your house. Who claims he's the greatest at everything. It's YOUR blog, and tell them their criticism would be so not welcome. bolditalicunderline |
