My week was mucho busy. I had a garden do on Monday, Japanese test on Tuesday, Academic Super Bowl from 4:30-8 on Wednesday, Creative Writer's club on Thursday and clean up at Brinka-Cross from 1-4 today. (　〇□〇）ﾊｧﾊｧ Everything was fun, but busy. I did fairly well on my test, but I forgot we had homework, so I spent most of my study time doing that. At Academic Super Bowl, DJ and I placed in all our event: 4th in English, 2nd in Fine Arts, 1st in Interdisciplinary, and 1st overall. It was a nice night.

For Creative Writer's club, I added more to Rat Pack, bit it wasn't much. Cambrian gets drunk and parades around in Union Jack underwear. ;D I love him so much! Mrs. Sharp was there as well. Apparently, she's becoming a regular member. She was my English teacher last year and likes my work, so it's all good.

Brink-Cross is amazing! I love this place. Two gay men built the house in the 70s all by themselves and set the house to mirror Native American longhouses. The front door is a globe! The rest of the land are gardens. Last year, we did the same as this: cleaning out the hostas gardens, but it rained hardcore. My shoes got stuck in the mud and Tien had to catch me from falling. @_@ This year, it was a bit chilly, but dry. Fantastico~ There's not much to report here, though I did get a blister where my thumb and index finger meet. OW.

Starting now, I'm going to have text updates on Fridays and image/inspiration/video updates periodically throughout the week.

Wednesday I had to teach my Japanese class how to cook something. I was nervous, because I thought we'd be standing there with everyone watching. Not so much. Turns out, it was just sensei flitting around and watching, while the rest of us did our own preparations and watched if we wanted. I was still nervous though, because I cannot make chocolate chip cookies to save my life. D.J. found this extra chewy recipe on FoodNetwork.com, I believe. The dough ended up runny and the cookies were super dark. I guess some kids liked them. According the Brandon, they were delicious and he proceeded to take two handfuls. But I thought they tasted like ass. Overall, the project went well, except for a few stumbles here and there. Nick and Ryan made Kool-aid and mud pie (oreos, chocolate pudding, and gummy worms). When Nick tried opening the gummy worms, the package flew open and the worms flew everywhere. Ryan picked them up and dropped them in the pie. Then, Ryan couldn't figure out how to open the Kool-aid, so he ripped the side and continuously whipped it against the pitcher side until all the powder was out. It was hilarious. Then, when a group was going, I reached out to put something away and knocked everything off the counter. I tried to grab for it, but I failed hard core. Carly laughed and said she was glad my group was so graceful (D.J. tripped over the mixer cord earlier).

The rest of the week was fine, more work on our papers. And then I heard about Japan. Honestly, I didn't think the earthquake was that bad, not that earthquakes aren't bad, but fuck. I didn't want to see the images at school, because I knew I couldn't handle it. To make matter worse, we found out Shiho, the exchange student from last year, lives in the prefecture that was hit with both the earthquake and tsunami. No one's heard from her yet. At the moment, I've calmed down from earlier (running to the bathroom to stop from crying), but I'm still a bit emotionally unhinged until I hear from Shiho.

And that's how my week went.

Yesterday was Academic Super Bowl. I had a lot of fun, but I thought the questions in Fine Arts would be more about the art than the artists, so we did well, but not super. I still cannot find the books they recommended, so I'm searching online and hoping I can find the right things. :| DJ and I decided to divide and conquer, which didn't go too well. Now we're combining and I'm going to do my best at music.

Overall, we did fairly well at Interdisciplinary, but Fine Arts and English lacked a bit, because I got all the questions on what she did and her the same. But all in all, we took trophies for Math, Interdisciplinary, and Champion of all~ The event was at PNC, which is a really nice school. I bought my sister a lanyard because she's going there but she doesn't know what to do with it.

Today we had to choose out recipes for Japanese. DJ and I are doing plane old chocolate chip cookies, because not only do we have to teach the class, we have to do the entirety in Japanese and memorized. It's going to be interesting, especially with the groups who have no idea what they're doing. I sort of do, but I've never been good at making chocolate chip cookies.

We actually didn't have enough time to finish translating and she's always busy in srt, so I'm a bit worried, but I'm sure it'll work all right, because it always does. And hello! it's Japanese and if something goes wrong, it'll be hilarious~

At Creative Writers, Jake, Austen, and I didn't have a chance to read our stories. I've been waiting two weeks, because Mrs. Demuth-Lutze had to leave early last week due to her father-in-law being in the hospital. Once again, Drew took a while to read his, fifteen minutes! He's a great writer and all, but chooses terribly boring work. A.k.a Roman-era animals fighting, inspired by Redwall. He's a Roman fanatic and only a fellow fanatic can really get into the story. But I'm still excited to read my story. I'm going to try and convince Taylor to read it tomorrow, even though she doesn't like to or else she'll be thinking of critiques until the next meeting~

So that's what's been going on. :D

BACK FROM HIATUS!


Technically, I wasn't on hiatus, rather posting everything to my Tumblr. I've decided to move back to Blogspot again, for several reasons. Mostly because Tumblr is a photo blogging platform and I'd like to have text blogs and massive upload images at once~ :D
